Human Resource Advisor

Our client is seeking an experienced HR Compliance Officer to join their team. Reporting to the General Manager, this is a hands-on role responsible for supporting the full employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, and providing HR advice across the business. They are looking for someone with broad, end-to-end HR experience who is passionate about building, engaging and supporting the workforce.

This role also requires a willingness to regularly visit regional and rural sites, spend time with operational teams, and gain a genuine understanding of the business by getting out on site, including around trucks and heavy equipment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Providing day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and employees
• Coordinating recruitment, onboarding, employment contracts and pre-employment requirements
• Maintaining HR records, employee files, leave records and training documentation
• Updating position descriptions and supporting HR policies, procedures and compliance activities
• Assisting with performance reviews, salary reviews, workplace investigations and employee relations matters
• Coordinating training sessions and supporting employee engagement initiatives
• Preparing HR reports and contributing to continuous improvement and workplace safety initiatives
• Visiting regional and rural sites to build strong relationships with employees and support operational teams

What you’ll need:

• Studies in Human Resources or a related field
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
• Previous experience across the full scope of Human Resources
• Sound knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer-based systems
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
• High level of confidentiality and ability to build positive working relationships
• Willingness to travel to regional and rural sites and work closely with operational teams
• Current Australian driver's licence
