Events Assistant

Our client is a well-established not-for-profit organisation supporting a close-knit community across Western Australia. They provide long-term assistance, wellbeing programs and connection opportunities to individuals and families, with a strong focus on care, respect and community engagement.

Operating with a small, collaborative team, the organisation delivers a calendar of meaningful events and initiatives that bring people together and strengthen community support.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Coordinating end-to-end event logistics including venue bookings, suppliers, catering and on-the-day delivery
  • Preparing event documentation such as run sheets, budgets and risk assessments
  • Managing multiple events while maintaining consistent quality and presentation
  • Tracking RSVPs, volunteer rosters, marketing activity and post-event outcomes
  • Supporting community engagement initiatives and representing the organisation at events
  • Acting as a key point of contact during events to ensure a professional and welcoming experience
  • Assisting with fundraising activities, sponsorship coordination and merchandise sales
  • Liaising with venues, suppliers and community partners to ensure smooth execution
  • Providing guidance and coordination support to volunteers

What you’ll need:

  • Experience in event coordination, fundraising or a similar role
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work both independently and in a small team
  • Professional presentation and confidence in public-facing environments
  • Flexibility to support events outside standard business hours
  • Experience within the not-for-profit or community sector will be highly regarded.
