Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join their team on a full-time basis in Perth. This role is suited to someone with a solid machining background who takes pride in precision work, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a team-focused manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in producing high-quality, complex components while supporting the broader workshop team.

You will be responsible for operating and setting up a variety of machining equipment, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring all products are manufactured to exact specifications and tolerances.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Operating and setting up CNC and manual machining equipment, including lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Machining precision components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
  • Inspecting finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance
  • Troubleshooting machining issues and making necessary adjustments to equipment
  • Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery
  • Completing required production and process documentation
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment
  • Collaborating with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
  • Contributing to continuous improvement across safety, quality, and processes

What you’ll need:

  • Trade qualification in Machining or similar (e.g. Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar CNC Machinist role
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Experience machining complex components (oil & gas or similar industries highly regarded)
  • Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
  • Basic to intermediate computer literacy (desirable)
  • Current driver’s licence (desirable)
