Field Asset Mapping Officer (Utilities Infrastructure)

Our client is seeking a reliable Field Asset Mapping Officer to support a short-term utilities infrastructure project based in Kalgoorlie. This field-based role involves travelling throughout the region to identify and record GPS locations of utility poles and related assets. Training will be provided for the right candidate who enjoys independent outdoor work, driving, and contributing to essential infrastructure projects.

This is a 3–4 week assignment working approximately 10-hour days. Flights, accommodation support, LAFHA and overtime are provided.

What you’ll be doing:

• Driving regional areas to locate utility poles and infrastructure assets
• Recording accurate GPS coordinates and asset information
• Following mapped routes and completing field inspection tasks
• Uploading data using mobile devices or digital systems
• Completing daily vehicle and equipment checks
• Reporting progress and issues to supervisors
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with procedures

What you’ll need:

• Current unrestricted Driver’s Licence
• Certificate III in Lineworker and Western Power tickets (essential)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with data entry
• Ability to work independently in remote and regional locations
• Comfortable working long outdoor days
• Competent with smartphones and digital tools
• Strong reliability, work ethic and communication skills
• Previous utilities or field-based experience (highly regarded)
