Finance Officer – Accounts Payable

Our client is a well-established, purpose-driven organisation operating in the sport and community sector. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Officer to support their finance function across accounts payable, payroll and general finance administration.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working closely with both finance and non-finance stakeholders and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Coordinate fortnightly payroll via an external payroll provider, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Liaise with an external HR provider on payroll-related and general HR administration matters
• Manage weekly accounts payable runs, including invoice processing and supplier queries
• Perform general ledger reconciliations and support month-end processes
• Assist with banking activities, including adherence to policy and cashflow support
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports for internal stakeholders
• Produce regular reporting for NB1, the Board and Venues West
• Provide general finance and administrative support as required

What you’ll need:

• Previous experience in accounts payable and payroll roles
• Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to deadlines
• Comfortable working with external service providers
• Confident communicator who can engage with a range of stakeholders
• Experience with financial systems and strong Excel skills
• Experience with Employment Hero and XERO preferred
