Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Our client is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join ongoing operations based in Perth, working across workshop, field service and site-based environments. This is a great opportunity to secure consistent work with reputable employers across long-term projects and diverse machinery.

With multiple projects and strong contracts in place, this role offers exposure to a wide range of heavy vehicles and equipment including mining machinery, mobile plant, trucks, earthmoving equipment and power generation systems. Positions are available on both a casual and permanent basis depending on experience and project needs.

What you’ll be doing:

• Diagnosing, servicing and repairing heavy diesel machinery and mobile plant
• Working across hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems
• Performing preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
• Fault finding and diagnostics in fast-paced workshop and field environments
• Working on mining equipment, trucks, generators and earthmoving machinery
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard

What you’ll need:

• Trade qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic
• Experience working on mobile plant, heavy vehicles, mining or similar equipment
• Strong diagnostics, fault finding and repair skills
• Current Driver’s Licence
• HR Licence and additional tickets such as Forklift, Working at Heights and Confined Space highly regarded
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and within a team
